Dare 2 Be real, an anti-racist student leadership organization working to educate and empower students and educators, will be hosting this year’s Culture Day this spring on April 23rd.
Culture day is a yearly event the student organization plans as a way for students to recognize and admire their peers’ cultures. For Eden Prairie, culture night acts as a celebration of the high school’s diverse student body. Culture day is a yearly event the organization plans to celebrate the different cultures that reside at EPHS that any student is allowed to attend. Filled with music, cultural performances, and food, the event will be held on Tuesday from the start of 4th hour to Flex.
A part of culture day is a fashion show and performance. Students have the option of being a part of the performance and fashion show, or watch them. The performances take place in the main gym, during the 4th hour, where there will be dances from different cultures and fashion walks. After the performance and fashion walk, there will be cultural booths, games, food, and more activities for students to participate in.
To get involved, students interested in participating can attend Dare 2 Be Real meetings every Wednesday, and attend rehearsals for performances and the fashion show. Other than that, student can look out for more information about culture night on their instagram @d2brephs.
