Speak up, stand up, and support

The new storefront in Eden Prairie Mall speaks up for survivors of military sexual assault
Speak up, stand up, and support

This past August, Let’s Roar opened up their first stand alone store in Eden Prairie mall. Let’s Roar is an activewear business with practical and hypoallergenic jewelry that’s specifically made for workouts. The mission of Let’s Roar is to bring awareness to sexual assault and harrassment that military members go through.

CEO Llana Rojas says, “Let’s Roar is really all about speaking up, standing up, and supporting military sexual assault survivors. This started because I’m in the military and I have battle buddies or other service members that have been raped, assaulted, or harrassed.” The store has now expanded to having their own non-profit organization to help survivors of military sexual assault. They are donating free therapy sessions to those suffering from trauma. Customers can donate in the store at checkout or online (letsroar.shop). Rojas says, “I’m trying to reach as many people as possible. It’s not just here in Eden Prairie, or even Minnesota, it’s world wide. It’s a worldwide issue that’s ongoing and needs to have more attention to it.” Rojas donates 10% of her proceeds to the organization Protect Our Defenders which works to educate the public and policymakers on the crisis of sexual violence in the military. According to, Protect Our Defenders, in 2014, 20,000 service members experienced sexual assault. At the same time, only 175 cases resulted in a conviction for a registrable sex offense. Survivors of rape, sexual assault, and sexual harrassent encounter many obstacles in getting longterm care, and Let’s Roar puts in the effort to make sure survivors feel heard and cared for.

As for the store logo, Rojas says, “I chose a lion because it represented having that voice to speak up, and a lion’s roar can be heard from five miles away.” If you are interested in purchasing any items from Let’s Roar or donating to Protect Our Defenders, visit Letsroar.shop or the storefront in Eden Prairie Mall. Let us hear your roar!
