Creating Fall Acorns

It’s that time of year when trees are turning different shades of color, the sun sets earlier, and students across the country are trapped inside a classroom. Fall is upon us, and in order to get into that fall spirit try this fun and easy recipe.

You will need:

  1. ½ cup of semisweet chocolate chips
  2. 48 milk chocolate kisses
  3. 48 Nutter Butter Bites or Ritz Bits Peanut butter

(Makes 48 servings)

Directions:

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave and stir until it is smooth.
  2. Spread a small amount of melted chocolate onto the flat side of each kiss and attach it to a cookie.
  3. Put the remaining melted chocolate into a pastry or plastic bag. Pipe a stem onto each acorn. (You can also use any remaining chocolate chips as the stem by putting a dab of melted chocolate and attaching it onto the cookie.)
  4. Place on baking sheet with wax paper and refrigerate until they are set.
  5. Enjoy!
