Eagles struggle to soar: boys hockey recap
Last Saturday, January 20, the boys hockey team played the Wayzata Trojans. The Eagles lost 4-7 after the Trojans scored six goals in the second period. “We’re kind of struggling in our games right now, but we’re starting to figure out what really works just in time for playoffs,” said senior Ryan Lesko. The team has a record of 6-10-1, which includes a win over Duluth East, the #1 team.
The team has six games left of the regular season, with a game against Stillwater at EPCC tonight (January 25) and against Braemar in Edina on Saturday (January 27). Both games start at 7:00 pm. They hope to finish the season strong. “We’re right there with all the rest. We just have to find the right chemistry,” said Lesko.
